The Year of the Rat

As the smallest of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac, the rat had only a slight chance of determining the zodiac’s order in the Jade Emperor’s race.

However, its intellect, vigilance and strategic-thinking allowed it to come out on top in the race and become first in the system’s twelve-year cycle.

As a highly perceptive animal, one of its most favourable qualities is that it can quickly respond to its environment.

Of the five elements in the Chinese zodiac, this year is the year of metal — a drastic change from the previous two earth years of 2018 and 2019. As metal can cut through wood, 2020 is the year we’ll be sharper. Although this might involve working hard, this element will help us make more savvy decisions, take action; and therefore experience greater financial satisfaction.

We believe it’s the year our community will develop their skills and knowledge; consequently moving toward things with which they are aligned and bringing positive ideas into practice.

As it is the first year of the cycle, 2020 is expected to set the pace and direction for the next twelve years to come. As a result, the actions we take today and within the next 12 months are especially significant.
